What is the mission of the Warrenton Youth Soccer Club? The founders of WYSC created the league as a place where children of all ages and abilities could learn about sports while having fun. The emphasis is on learning, teamwork and sportsmanship.

I've been the head coach for 12 seasons of CYA volleyball in Chantilly. While I’m proud to say I’ve won a few season championships winning is a secondary priority for my teams. My primary goal has always been to get the kids to want to come back and play again the next season while also making sure they are a better player and teammate at the end of the season than they were at the beginning. I feel strongly that winning is often the byproduct of taking that type of approach.
A few of the principals I try to teach throughout the season are listed below. I feel strongly that the principals and values found in team sports have a direct carryover to the real-world and is part of the reason why I emphasize the principals below with my players.
A team playing as one cohesive unit is VERY difficult to beat
Positive Attitude is everything
Zero tolerance for negativity - everyone ALWAYS encourages each other - especially when they make mistakes
100% Effort is Required
At each practice and game, I expect 100% effort from everyone.
I have and always will give 100% of my effort and energy to the teams I coach. I love the sport, I love the kids and I just love watching their skills develop and confidence grow as the season unfolds.

Kaia (pronounced ky-uh) has been playing volleyball since she was in 4th grade. She fell in love with the sport from day one and that love has only grown over the years as her skillset and knowledge of the game has increased. After playing in 8 seasons of CYA volleyball from 5th-8th grade, she continued her playing career in High School. Kaia was the setter for the Freshman team at Westfield High School in Chantilly and then was the setter for the JV team at Brentsville High School in Nokesville. While this is Kaia's first season acting as a coach, she is eager for the opportunity to spread her passion and knowledge for the game to the next generation of players.
